Sweet mango and smoky Mezcal is a match made in heaven. This cocktail will ignite your taste buds! The rim of the glass is coated in a coarse chili sea salt, and the cocktail is a mixture of fresh lime juice, mango nectar, smoky Mezcal, and a splash of triple sec.
I am currently obsessed with Mezcal. It tastes smoky, earthy, and pairs so nicely with sweet fruit. I am actually kinda obsessed with all things smoky, smoked paprika, smoked cheese, smoked meat… I love it! This mezcal mango margarita is definitely what I will have this Cinco de Mayo!
Mezcal Mango Margarita
- Cocktail Shaker
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ½ ounces mezcal
- 1 ounce triple sec
- 3 ounces mango juice
- 2 limes juiced
- In a shallow bowl, combine chili powder and kosher salt. Run a lime around the edge of the glass. Then dip the rim of the glass into the salt mixture. Carefully fill the glass with ice.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the Mezcal, triple sec, mango juice, lime juice, and ice. Shake for 30 seconds, and then pour into your prepared glass. Top with a lime wedge.
