I am currently on a plane to New Orleans to get a New Orleans Cold Brew Coffee from Cafe Du Monde, but until then, I figured you all need to try this coffee for yourself! So what-in-the-heckinbob even is New Orleans-style coffee? New Orleans-style coffee is prepared with chicory root. Chicory root is known as a coffee alternative or additive. It has a slightly woody or nutty flavor. Among New Orleans, several coffee shops prepare their coffee by adding chicory root and has become known as their signature style! Even coffee shops here in the west have adapted their coffee, such as Blue Bottle Coffee in California. I hope this transports you to bourbon street, sitting at the cafe with a beignet in one hand and this coffee in another. Cheers!
